Instructions for joining a webinar
Here is a reminder of the preliminary steps to follow before connecting to an NCCHPP webinar. We are using the Adobe Connect platform.

Instructions for joining a webinar on Adobe Connect

IMPORTANT RECOMMENDATIONS:

  • To access the Adobe Connect platform you will need to have an updated version of Adobe Flash Player on your computer. Updates are free, but if you need an update and don't have administrator's rights on your computer, you will have to contact your organization's IT department to have them update your Adobe Flash Player;
  • Use a recent computer (less than 3 years old);
  • Use a cable and avoid Wi-Fi for your internet connection;
  • A high-speed internet connection is preferable;
  • On the day of the webinar, we recommend that you enter the platform 20 minutes before the webinar starts to test your connection one last time.

 

Step 1 – Updating your Adobe Flash Player (free)

You need to have Adobe Flash Player on your computer to access the Adobe Connect platform. To check if you have the appropriate software, click on the following link:

If the automatic test tells you that you don't have the appropriate version of Adobe Flash Player, you can update it for free at:  http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

 

Step 2 – Join the webinar

The hyperlink to join the webinar will be sent to you in the subscription confirmation email.

When you are ready to join the webinar, click on the link and then:

  • Select “Enter as a Guest”;
  • Type your name;
  • Click on the button “Enter Room.”    

Please simply ignore (and close) the following pop-up window entitled Joining the Audio Conference.


 

 

Step 3 – Access the teleconference

Callers from Canada and the U.S.

We will only use the phone teleconference system for the audio communication between participants and presenters.

Please turn off your computer's speakers to avoid background noise.

At the starting time of the webinar, dial the toll-free number:

1-866-827-6872

Followed by the conference code: 2566408#

  • You will hear music until the moderator logs in.
  • If you enter the webinar after it has started, the Adobe Connect platform will inform us that you have joined.

 *Including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
