The NCCHPP at the Journées annuelles de santé publique (Québec's Annual Public Health Days)

The Centre will participate in the Journées annuelles de santé publique (JASP - Québec's Annual Public Health Days), to be held in Montréal on December 8 and 9, 2015.

Presentation - Population Mental Health Framework for Public Health
.
On Tuesday December 8, the Centre's Pascale Mantoura will present “A Population Mental Health Framework for Public Health” during the one-day workshop “From early childhood to old age: promoting mental health through the life course” (De la petite enfance au grand âge : promouvoir la santé mentale à travers le parcours de vie).

Many experts will participate in this workshop and simultaneous translation will be available throughout the day.

Presentation - Paternalism(s), Cognitive Biases and Healthy Public Policy - JASP 2015

On Tuesday December 9, the Centre's Olivier Bellefleur will present “Paternalism(s), Cognitive Biases and Healthy Public Policy” during a day-long workshop entitled: "Should We Protect People from Themselves” (Faut-il protéger les gens contre eux-mêmes?).

This workshop will also feature many experts, and simultaneous translation will be available throughout the day.

Our New Publications in the Spotlight

Registration is open: Online Continuing Education Course on Health Impact Assessment (HIA)
.
The NCCHPP will again offer its 12-hour online course on health impact assessment (HIA) of public policies. This online course will allow participants to become familiar with the HIA process applied to public policies, recognize its fundamentals, and think about the favourable conditions for successful HIA implementation. This course awards 12 continuing education credits upon successful completion.

Course dates: January 11 to February 12, 2016 in English.

January 18 to February 19, 2016 in French.

Registration deadline: December 7, 2015 at 5 p.m. (Eastern Time). Spaces are limited!
