Climate change is a global emergency. It is also particularly difficult to address for many reasons. Our goal is to help inform policy approaches to mitigate the exponentially-increasing risks, especially to health equity, arising from global heating.
From the perspective of healthy public policies, the Centre will investigate the literature to respond to a few questions, such as:
• What policies can be shown to help?
• What are some of the barriers to progress?
• What are some levers to advance policies?
• How can we identify and act upon potential windows of opportunity?
• What infrastructure and what systems show signs of fragility in the face of stresses like climate change?
• What can we learn from the Covid-19 global emergency that might inform Canada's policy responses to the present climate emergency?
Please send us a note to let us know about what resources you need to advance policies for addressing climate change.
