Economic Evaluation Workshops

In collaboration with Laurie Goldsmith of Simon Fraser University, the NCCHPP is bringing together public health actors to discuss how economic evaluations can help support the promotion of healthy public policies.

Two workshops have already taken place. The first was held in Edmonton on March 10, 2009, and the second one took place in Montréal on May 6, 2009. Each of these workshops brought together 15-20 participants to address three main questions:

1. What is the use of economic evaluations in the promotion of healthy public policies?
2. Does the report by Goldsmith et al. reflect your experience as a public health actor?
3. What are the most important and pressing issues that could benefit from an economic evaluation?
